Backsliders (NSW)

Leaders in their own form of delta-blues wall of sound, The Backsliders have been a highlight over the years of the Australian Blues Music Festival. The music never seems to stand still with this band every album pushing the boundaries of acoustic music further into uncharted territory.

Australia's leading proponents of delta-blues, The Backsliders return to Goulburn in 2006, featuring tracks from their 9th release, 'LIVE', a killer, adrenalin charged collection of the best in 'blues and roots'.

Band members: Dom Turner, Jim Conway and Rob Hirst are a formidable outfit and 'LIVE' brings to the fore their unique brand of groove-laden, delta-blues wall-of-sound.

May 2006: After 18 years, Jim Conway resigned from the band in order to pursue "a change in direction musically" and devote more time and energy to his band Big Wheel.

Dom Turner is the 2004 Inductee to the Australian Blues Music Festival Blues Hall of Fame for his 'Contribution to Australian Blues Songwriting'
