Jonno Zilber (ACT)

Jonno has been performing since he was 12. Starting off as just another kid learning classical music on a keyboard, he first became interested in the blues after hearing the Muddy Waters song 'Manish Boy'. From that day forward, Jonno's musical passion has been blues.

Jonno has been awarded the Canberra Roots Music Young Performer award twice, as well as making it to the finals of the 2006 National Youth Week music competition's people's choice award. He has developed a good following as an energetic acoustic guitar player and performer with a voice that is well beyond his years. Jonno has performed with Eugene 'Hideaway' Bridges as well as popular Australian blues acts such as Lloyd Spiegel, Dutch Tilders and Matt Corcoran.

Jonno impressed Goulburn audiences when he played at the official launch of the 2006 Australian Blues Music Festival and returned to play with his band Jonno and the Zilberfish on the Festival weekend.

Jonno with his band Jonno and the Zilberfish featured at the 2006 Festival. He returned to perform solo in 2007 and will be appearing at the 2008 Festival as part the Black Market Music'Young Guns' show with Jason Lowe and Tom Richardson.
