Congratulations to Natural Ball winners of the Blues Association of South East Queensland's (BASEQ) inaugural Performer of the Year Competion - proudly sponsored by the Australian Blues Music Festival. As the winning act, Natural Ball receive a place on the 2008 Festival line-up.

Forming in early 2004 and later shaping a devastating combination with an Australian blues icon - Blind Dog Donnie Burke, these cats love to play. With a genuine love and admiration for bluesmen including Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters and T-Bone Walker... these guys are keeping the proverbial blue flame burning!

Natural Ball have been performing around Brisbane and the surrounding areas for the last couple of years, creating a name for themselves among local blues fans as a fresh, energetic young blues band with a passion and flair for that authentic Chicago style sound.

Blind Dog Donnie is firmly established as one of the country's finest guitarists and has long been hailed as Brisbane's 'king of the blues guitar'. As a founding member of the seminal Australian blues band The Rhythm Kings and following it up with the incomparable Blind Dog and the Reverend, he has already shown a unique ability to reinvent himself and create something exceptional. He's done it again!

This is music as it's meant to be... honest, emotive harp infused with soulful and at times downright dangerous guitar slinging. With a groovin' rhythm section keeping the punters on their dancing feet all night long; this is a genuine blues band that simply can't be missed.
